Salford Cognitive Therapy Training Centre
The Centre
The Salford Cognitive Therapy Training Centre was established in 2000 with the aim of creating a centre of excellence for cognitive therapy training in the northwest region. This aim has been achieved and maintained with the support of local clinicians, managers at Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Manchester, and that of regional, national and international leaders in cognitive therapy.
All centre staff are experienced in cognitive therapy and have extensive training from centres in Oxford, Newcastle and California. The Postgraduate Diploma programme has workshops led by experts in the field of cognitive therapy, many of whom have international reputations. The programme supervisors all have extensive knowledge and experience of cognitive therapy practice, training, supervision and research.
